We love children at First Southern! It is our greatest joy and privilege to help your children learn more about God and lead them into a joyful relationship with Him. We recognize that the most important part of your children's spiritual growth is YOU. That is why we have programs and classes which seek to not only teach about God, but enable you, as parents, to be effective in leading them in their spiritual lives as well. Checkout our current programs for your children to get get involved in.

GROW is a weekly outreach ministry that meets on Tuesday nights at 7:00. Participants sign up to come one Tuesday night per month for 12 months.

At First Southern we believe that youth are not just the future of the church, but they are the present. Throughout history God has used young people to accomplish His plans and purposes. Ministry is an essential part of it. We do not want a youth group; we want to have a youth ministry.

Our Men's Ministry is a great place for men to fellowship with one another through Biblestudy and special events. The purpose of the Men's Ministry is stated best in Proverbs 27:17 "Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." This is a great place for men to bond with other Christian men, and to hold each other accountable for being the spiritual head of the household. Small groups/Discipleship is another way for members to connect in our church. We have various groups that meet throughout the week in different location around the community. These discipleship groups are closed, in-depth Bible studies usually offered during the Fall and Spring quarters.

USA (Useful Senior Adults) is a place for our senior adults to maintain a feeling of warmth, friendship & purpose at this special time of their lives. Groups meet together on Sunday morning at 9:40 am for Bible Study. They also meet monthly for breakfast, usually at a local restaurant and have luncheons at the church. Trips are planned throughout the year for sightseeing and concerts.

VBS

This is a weeklong summer program that is a blast for everyone. There is always a fun theme and each day there is worship for kids, Bible lessons, crafts, recreation, learning about far away places, and fun food.

The Women's Ministry hosts events for all the women at First Southern Baptist Church. We have bible studies, conferences, retreats, movie nights, crafts and much more. We will also be hosting events to raise money for non-profit organizations. We are a group of women who bring our talents and services together to better serve our church and community.
