“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth” Acts 1:8
I believe a church is not a business – it is so much more! The work of the Church is eternal, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and focused on the priorities of God. I believe the Church should be more intentional and strategic in its approach than any other organization because we are about the most import things – the Glory of God and the salvation of eternal souls. The work we do in the short years on this earth will be reflected upon for all of eternity.
As your pastor, this church is Jesus’s Church – “I will build My Church and the gates of hell will not overcome it.” Matthew 16:18 We are a church on the move. The church cannot afford to bumble through life while our community, state, nation, and world are in desperate need of Jesus. We are a church that is advancing against the gates of hell that hold people in bondage. The freedom we have experienced, we want others to experience! I believe the hope of the world is not found in politicians but in the Church Jesus has established, and we must be about His priorities!
When reading Scripture, the priorities of Jesus are expressed in the Great Commandment (Love God – Worship, Love People – Service) and the Great Commission (Make Disciples – Evangelism, Baptizing them – Fellowship, Teaching them – Discipleship). Out of these Scriptures, we will focus our future goals and prioritize our present time, talent, and treasure.
Where we are going is to be a church intentional about the priorities of God, organized to maximize the resources of God, honestly considering the evaluation of God, and in everything led and empowered by God. “Apart from me you can do nothing” John 15:5
Today, we are somewhere between the Great Commission (Matthew 28) and the Great multitude (Revelation 7). May our God find us faithful when He returns! “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life” Revelation 2:10 We live for an audience of one and believe you too can find your life’s mission as you join with us looking forward to hear Jesus say, “Well done, good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21a
May God lead you to where He wants you!
